WhatsApp and Telegram link generator for any phone number

Turn a phone number or a Telegram username into a click-to-chat link with an optional pre-filled message, and get a QR code to print or share.

How a wa.me link works

A wa.me link opens a WhatsApp chat with a number without saving it as a contact: https://wa.me/ followed by the number in international form, digits only, with no +, spaces or leading zeros. Add ?text= and a message to place that message in the chat box, ready to send.

Telegram links

A t.me link opens a public username (t.me/name) and can carry a pre-filled message with ?text=. A number link, t.me/+ followed by the digits, opens a chat only if that account lets people find it by its number.

The QR code

The QR code holds exactly the link shown above it and is drawn in your browser. Download it as an SVG, which stays sharp at any size, for a shop window, a menu or a business card.

Keep your personal number out of a public link

Use a private number for public contacts: it receives SMS and calls in your dashboard and is yours alone while you keep it. Check that a number works for your platform before you rely on it.

Do I have to save the number as a contact first?

No. That is what a click-to-chat link is for: it opens a chat with the number directly, in the app or in WhatsApp Web.

Why does my wa.me link say the number is not on WhatsApp?

Either the number is not registered on WhatsApp, or it is written wrongly: check the country code and drop the trunk prefix (the 0 or 8 at the start). The generator only builds the link; it cannot see who uses WhatsApp.

Can the message have emoji or other languages?

Yes. The message is URL-encoded, so any language and emoji work. A long message makes a larger, denser QR code.

Should I put my personal number in a public chat link?

A public link or a printed QR code shows the number to everyone who sees it. Many people use a separate number for that, so their personal one stays private.
