A private number is issued to you the moment you buy it, so it cannot be returned. The good news: you can verify a number against your target service for free before spending anything. Follow these steps.
Check a number in 8 steps
- Pick a number and paste it into the service: Choose a number you like, copy it, and paste it into the phone field on your online service’s sign-up screen. Press Continue or Register.
- Watch for the "SMS sent" confirmation: If the service does not throw an error and says the code was sent by SMS, the number is suitable, so you can buy it. Then request the code again from your account.
- Resend once more to confirm: Trigger the code one more time to confirm the service reliably accepts the number before you commit.
- Telegram: use the official client only: For Telegram, only register accounts in the official Telegram app or web client. Unofficial clients behave differently and can mislead the check.
- Telegram must say "SMS sent to the number": During Telegram sign-up it must state that it sent an SMS to the number, not that it sent a code to another device.
- "Sent to another device" means it is taken: If Telegram says the code was sent to another device, that number already has a Telegram account attached. It will not work for a new registration.
- In that case, pick a different number: Choose another number and check it exactly the same way until you find one that offers SMS delivery.
- When it sends an SMS, buy and resend: Once a number says it sent an SMS to the number, buy it here and request the code again to receive it.
When the code arrives as a voice call
Sometimes the code is delivered by an automated voice call from a robot instead of SMS. In that case the recording is delivered to you as a voice message in our Telegram bot, so you can still hear and read the code.
