Will the number work if Taobao blocks VoIP?

Your private number is a real mobile-grade number, not VoIP, so it passes Taobao's carrier checks where disposable VoIP numbers fail. If a country is filtered, pick your number in another country from the list above.

Do I keep the number after verifying Taobao?

Yes. It's a full private number you own long term — voice and SMS, with 28-day auto-renew. Reuse it for Taobao and any other service, and release it anytime to stop renewals.

Which country should I pick for Taobao?

Start with the popular countries listed above, they have the highest live availability for Taobao. Any country can be opened on its dedicated page for live pricing.
